Do you guarantee viability?

We take care to prepare and pack strong cultures for dispatch, but we do not promise an undocumented blanket guarantee beyond the terms that apply to a specific product. Check your order when it arrives. If a culture looks compromised or does not perform as expected, keep the container closed and contact spectrum-spores@polsia.app with your order details, arrival notes, and clear photos so we can help assess what happened.

How are cultures packed, and what should I do when they arrive?

We pack cultures carefully for their journey. On arrival, inspect the package for shipping damage or unusual warmth before opening anything. If the container or packaging looks compromised, photograph it, keep the packaging, and contact spectrum-spores@polsia.app with the arrival details. Otherwise, keep the container sealed while it settles and follow the product-specific storage guidance before use.

Question 3

How should I store cultures, and how long do they keep?

Accepted Answer

Keep grain spawn sealed at 2–4°C, never frozen, and use it within 8 weeks of arrival. Keep liquid cultures in the original sealed syringe at 2–4°C, protected from light and never frozen; they are best used within 6 months. When a product label gives more specific instructions, follow the label first.

How can I reduce the risk of contamination?

Accepted Answer

Start with a clear, clutter-free workspace. Wash your hands, wear clean clothing, clean the work surface, and set out only the tools you need. Keep clean materials covered until you are ready, work with as little open time as possible, and isolate or keep closed any container that looks questionable rather than exposing the rest of your work area to it.
